a colt by Salieri, again, very modern type …what we’re seeing here today
is a lot of very modern horses a very positive thing, beautiful head and
neck, very nice expression … he’s got a really active hind leg, he steps
out very nicely when he moves he carries himself, you know he just has a
lot of expression to himself."

Rubi's first filly by Salieri (Salieri
Rose) was sold in-utero and was such a fabulous
cross, that we bred Rubi back to him for a 2008 foal! (Salieri
Rose was the champion filly at her 2007 site inspection ... elegant,
elastic, beautiful chestnut filly!) Rubi is a very
typey liver chestnut mare who stands 16.1½. She
has an excellent pedigree with 5 generations of State
Premium mares in a row on the dam line. She has an
overall 8 at her Inspection with a super score of 8.22
at her Performance which included 9's for walk and trot,
an 8 for canter, an 8 & 9 for rideability and a 7 & 8
for Jumping ability. She was Winner of her Class
in 2000 and competed in the Famous Ratje-Niebuhr show in
2000 and placed 4th in her class.
Salieri
is the sire of Anky van Grunsven's gelding Salinero, the
2004 Olympic Gold Medallist. Salinero is ranked number 1 dressage horse in the world
for 2005 by the World Breeding Federation for Sport
Horses. This top position was primarily based on his
winning the 2005 World Cup Finals and his victory at the
2005 European Dressage Championships.
Salieri was very successful in sport, competing
internationally with Holger Wulschner. In 2000 he
won the Sires of the World class at the Hannover horse
show. In 2001 he won the Audi Cup in Leipzig and
in 2002 he had a victory in Norten-Hardenberg which

Weather problems and foaling (time constraints) didn't allow us to
get many still photos of Sirius before he and Rubi left to go to the
repro center. There's a short video (at 6 weeks) that we
took in the front yard before we loaded them for their long trip.
We hope to have them back in a month or so (turned out they were gone 60+
days!) and will get more photos done for the website then. He's an
incredible colt with royal bloodlines! Sirius is shedding out and
LOVELY liver chestnut coloring will be like his mom, stunning!
He's very elastic, proud and a beautiful mover with three solid gaits.
