Royal Fortune WS
Blue Hors Romanov x Sandro Hit (Davignon)
Dark Bay Hanoverian Filly
March 30, 2010

|

November 20, 2010 SHE'S HOME just in time to
make our Thanksgiving complete! Royal Fortune WS (Romanov x Sandro Hit (Davignon))
has finally arrived from Germany. It's been a long, tiring journey for our 7+
month old filly but she's bright, alert and curious about everything! BIG thanks
Kareen Heineking-Schütte, DVM of
German Horse Connection ... your TLC shows!
Gotta love her unusual front right leg markings ... very interesting!

November 9, 2010 We are so excited ... Royal Fortune is
on a plane and flying into New York today! She's only 7 months old but is
growing up to be quite the beauty. We are so fortunate to have Kareen
Heineking-Schütte, DVM of
German Horse Connection (who is the
wonderful caretaker of our "girls" in Germany) accompanying her on this flight.
Talk about going above and beyond! What a journey for this youngster ...
we're very excited for her to come "home" to Walkabout Station.

Blue Hors Romanov
Rohdiamant x Grundstein II
(Akzent II)
2000 Oldenburg
2011 Danish Horse of the Year! |

Royal Fortune's Dam, Step by Step,
is a gorgeous mare whose pedigree
needs little introduction. SbS has gaits to die
for! Flexible, athletic and a proven
broodmare who did very well on her mare testing:
Temperament/ Character /Workability: 8.00
Trot: 8.8, Canter 7/8, Walk 8/7: overall 7.67
Rideability: 8/8, Free Jumping 7/9, Technique 8/7: overall: 7.75
Jumping
Blue Hors Romanov in 2006 won the
silver medal at the Danish
championship for 6-year old horses.
In 2005 he won, and in 2004 he also
achieved a silver medal. He was
champion at the stallion selection
in Herning in 2004 and the runner
up champion in Oldenburg 2002. It
appears that Romanov has what it
takes to become an international
dressage champion. Romanov is by the
multiple champion Rohdiamant, who
was approved and main premium winner
in Oldenburg. Rohdiamant was federal
champion twice and competed in Grand
Prix under Lisa Wilcox. His damsire
Grundstein II presented successful
international dressage horses and
show jumpers at world class level.
The rideability component is assured
in the third generation through
Akzent II. The bloodline of Rudilore
has produced several stallions over
the past years: Rubin Royal,
Rumicello, Rubino Vincento (all
three full brothers to Romanov),
Conterno Grande, Couleur Rubin,
D-Day, Gio Granno, Markgraf, Tantris
and Don Chico. The foundation mare
Rudilore II was an international
three-day eventing horse. Out of his
first breeding season three sons has
been selected for the Danish
licensing in Herning in 2007 |

March 30, 2010 Kareen took these photos when Royal Fortune was
up and about ... just a few hours old. This is a breeding worth repeating!
Thanks Kareen ... keep the photos coming ... I'm in LOVE!

March 30, 2010 Wahoo! Kareen called with great news and
sent us these brand new pictures of our new addition all gift wrapped (she
arrived around 5:30am)! Our mare in Germany,
Step by Step (Sandro Hit x Davignon (Werther))
had a beautiful dark bay filly by
Blue Hors Romanov
(Rohdiamant x Grundstein II
(Akzent II)) this morning!
Yes, I said FILLY! I'm so excited ... we have been colt heavy for the last
3 years so having a filly is very exciting! In staying with Kareen's
"Pirates of the Caribbean theme" for this year, we have named her Royal Fortune
(a famous pirate ship). Difficult theme for a filly!
