We are thrilled with the January 1, 2010 arrival of our black Starlight  colt.  It was in the "stars" since he was born during the blue moon, which of course meant a full moon and on the first day of the New Year!  What a package!  He was textbook delivery, around 9am (yes, a very pleasant and unusual hour for a mare to foal ... how nice for us sleep deprived folks on foal watch!).

We'll have to watch as his long legs unfold but we couldn't be happier with him.

Born on New Year's morning under a rare Blue Moon, this strong and healthy colt is already starting to show his talent.  He is sired by the multiple Devon champion and USDF Hall of Fame member, Starlight (Sandro Hit x Giora (Cordeur)). Starlight not only dominated the breed shows, he also won in tough competition at Prix St. Georges and Intermediare I. He is now in Germany under a Grand Prix trainer who has high hopes for his future.

Seltener Mond's dam, Jemez, is also very interesting having tied for Champion mare at her GOV inspection. Her sire, Columbus (Calypso II x Marina (Farnese)) is the only US owned Holsteiner stallion that has been ranked in the USEF top ten leading stallions in all disciplines!
